- RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Senior Consultant is responsible for ensuring that his or her personal work in connection with client engagements is:
• of high quality content (i.e., deliverables prepared are consistent with the standards specified in Infor’s implementation methodology);
• in accordance with the approved work program for the engagement;
• planned using the implementation methodology and a proprietary project planning tool and properly monitored ;
• completed within the allotted time and hours budgeted;
• documented in accordance with Infor standards
The Senior Consultant position is heavily relied upon by the PSO Manager as a factor in achieving engagement objectives. Therefore, planning and control of individual work, good written and oral communication skills for self expression, dependability, professionalism and good consulting skills are all pre-requisites for this position.
The Senior Consultant is accountable for travel expenditures, Infor equipment and facilities, supplies, work spaces and his or her own time. Similarly, when entrusted by clients, the same accountability exists for client resources.
The Senior Consultant is a member of the Professional Service Team and, as such, shares with all other Service Team members the responsibility of meeting the objectives of the engagement that has been under taken by the PSO Manager. As a member of the Professional Service Team, the Senior Consultant works under the direction of the Engagement Manager.
This position requires frequent travel at various times and may necessitate extended stays away from the home office.
The Senior Consultant would typically perform the following activities:
• perform selected work steps of the engagement work program;
• prepare drafts, for PSO Manager review, of implementation deliverables;
• make presentations to clients of results from implementation work steps;
• conduct analysis of client business operations;
• conduct client education classes;
• instruct client personnel on proper application and operation of ERP software; and
• as Engagement Manager on implementation project
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• A first degree is desirable in Financial, Economical or Management;
• a minimum of five years functional experience in Financial Management;
• Has the experience in implementing financial area in the ERP software in a commercial environment;
• Actual project management experience needs to be demonstrated;
• A solid understanding of application requirements should be demonstrable from previous work experience;
• Good written and oral communication skills in English for self expression should be exhibited;
• Ability to work in teams as well as individually is required;
• The person must be eligible to work within the country in which he/she will be employed by Infor and be eligible for travel abroad.
